About Filip Boksa

I started my first business in the home cleaning industry when I was 19 with my best friend from high school. Together we invested $6,000 and grew the company to over $5,000,000 in revenue within three years. Later I Co-founded BookingKoala with the developer who built King of Maids and who today is one of my closest friends. BookingKoala is home to thousands of entrepreneurs worldwide, and my main goal is to turn the company into a unicorn while taking $0 in funding.

Once You Taste Freedom, You'll Never Want It Taken Away

Once you taste the beauty of freedom, you'll never want it taken away from you. Today at 29 years old, I'm very happy with where I am, but it took around ten years to get here. By the time I was 22, we were doing about 2.1 million in revenue annually with approximately 20-30% profit margins. Split between my partner and me, we could've lived very well on those profit margins.

I was young, but I wasn't dumb, so I knew that even though the salary was excellent, it wasn't enough to secure my freedom. And trust me, once you get a taste of working whenever you want and doing whatever you want, you'll work even harder to prevent that from being taken away from you. At that time, the fear of losing my freedom was my motivator.

I got hungrier to figure out ways to build wealth. Instead of buying an expensive house and treating myself well, I lived as cheaply as possible with one of my closest friends, and we worked night and day to figure out the next move. We failed A LOT, but one day I made a wise investment to start BookingKoala with a dear friend of mine. Together we invested every penny we had to kickstart BookingKoala. After three years of investing all my profits, the company became profitable and took off. Today it's the business I focus all my efforts on, am passionate about, and it's an asset worth millions that is growing quickly. Completely bootstrapped and forever will be.

When that business didn't need any more of my money, I then started to invest in the stock market, further securing my freedom. I continue to add money there every month while my accounts grow.

This took ten years and a lot of sacrifices, but it all started with one business. One business has the power to do a lot for you as long as you commit to it and don't spend money on uneccsarry things. If you want them, that's fine, but secure yourself first before you start buying them.
